Oklahoma Intercollegiate Legislature
Since 2021, I have been the faculty advisor for OIL. This mock legislature club meets with other delegations from other schools across Oklahoma twice a year. Our delegation has won recognition or awards in the outstanding legislation and freshman legislation competitions, press competition, and community service competition. Our delegation has had members serve or go on to serve in several statewide offices, including Secretary of State and Lt. Governor.

Recent Committee Service
I have served on the following committees and advisory groups.

Honors Advisory Groups: This group provides faculty insight for the director of the Honors and Honors Scholar Program

Student Mental Health and Wellbeing Advisory Group:
This group provides faculty and staff insight into endeavors to provide students with adequate health and well-being services across the college. I have just received a second two-year appointment.

The Common Book Committee. This committee chooses the text for each two-year cycle of the Common Book Program. Members then work to provide supportive programming around the themes of the work. We chose and programmed Braiding Sweetgrass.

Political Science Club
I am working to start a political science club that will help connect political science majors with a better understanding of the field, career opportunities, and a sense of community within the discipline.

Community Support
I have supported institutional events and extracurriculars by providing my time and expertise. I have served as a judge for Regional History Day. This event sees middle- and high-school students compete in various types of history research projects. These projects are then judged. Winners go on to state and potentially national competitions. I have judged individual and group documentaries as well as poster presentations.

I have also served as a judge and occasional chaperone for the forensics team. Judge events in speech and debate as needed.
